Shanghai, Feb 8, 2008: Apply now for the seminar "The People Factor: Business Success in China and India" on Feb 27 in Zurich

To start the Asian Year of the Mouse, we propose to explore and compare the two markets with the potential to be the biggest in the world: India and China.

Our Ambassador to India since 3 years, Mr Dreyer, also spent over 10 years in China. He will share his experience on relations of China and India as well as on these two peoples and cultures. A set of other experienced speakers will present their own learnings and share with the participants in a panel discussion.

Shanghai, Nov 28, 2007: The “China Human Resource Paradox” will be available as from January 1, 2008

Based on the results of the Swiss China HRM Survey 2007, the new publication The China Human Resource Paradox - Dealing Successfully with People Shortages in the Land of Billions will be available for sale on January 1, 2008.

The book provides an accurate overview of HRM in China, key practices in Swiss companies for successfully hiring, managing and retaining Chinese personnel, and practical information on the new labor legal framework, the HRM market, its trends and future developments.

Shanghai, 6 July 2007: EMBA/MBA seminars held in Shanghai

In the first half of 2007, 3 seminars for EMBA/MBA classes from Switzerland and Liechtenstein have been held at Swiss Center Shanghai based on the results of the Swiss China Survey. During these events each time 2-4 Swiss and other European companies were visited to give first hand information to the participants. To complete the seminars the students were provided with the guidebook "Behind the China Kaleidoscope - A Guide to China Entry and Operations".

Zurich, 16 Feb 2006: Successful seminars in St. Gallen, Biel and Aarau

A first round of industry specific seminars based on the results of the Swiss China Survey, with experienced managers of Swiss operations in China as speakers took place

- on 3 Feb 2006 in St. Gallen
Setting up a sales team or choosing distribution partners for industry components and equipment

- on 9 Feb 2006 in Biel
Telecom, precision and electronic industry: Distribution, HRM and setting up a production

- on 16 Feb 2006 in Aarau
Machinery industry: Purchasing components and setting up a production in China

Zurich, November 10, 2005. Guide-launch at the Swiss International Business Forum

The Swiss International Business Forum (www.aussenwirtschaftsforum.ch) focuses on China this year – the perfect occasion for the launch of the guidebook “Behind the China Kaleidoscope – a Guide to China Entry and Operations”. The project is operating a table to inform interested participants of the forum about the book and seminars planned for 2006. Nicolas Musy is also participating as expert on an afternoon-workshop of the forum.
